We went into the highlands and up to Hekla and saw areas we hadn’t explored previously. The cabin had great cooking facilities with an oven so we could cook nice dinners…… a very comfortable 3 nights.

We had very welcoming service, and excellent restaurant experience as well both nights. Most uniquely, its an isolated and peaceful location, with star/sky observatory hut 3 min walk from hotel. They gave a wonderful skygazing session explaining the incredible skyscape you see given you are in low-light pollution area, and most importantly we saw the Northern Lights for over an hour in middle of this session!AgataYoung couple
