The woman at reception at 6-7 pm on April 25th was super-friendly, helpful and accommodating. I liked how we were on the ground-floor with a patio door facing grass with our dog.

We flew from Calgary to Halifax then drove to Truro for one night before departing early the next morning for our destination in New Brunswick. Truro was a convenient overnight stop. We did not spend time much time in Truro.

This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place. The town has great restaurants and is easy to navigate. The people are friendly and helpful.
The roads could use a little work on them.
Thai Express and Mezza where good for tasty fast food.
The British Cafe was great with very friendly staff and you could take your dog to the outdoor patio.

Victoria Park was excellent
Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
Ruth is a great host, very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the local area and Canada in general. The breakfast was super. The garden is nice. Even though it is a shared accommodation, there is a good deal of privacy, as the bathroom and bedroom are behind a door. The night we stayed, the other room had no guests, btw. Ruth has a friendly older dog, so if you like furry friends that could be a bonus.
The location is nice -- in a residential area but very close to Truro and the Tidal Discovery Site. Truro is a small city.
The rooms have been beautifully decorated. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast was more than adequate cereal, fruit, bagel, muffins, hard boiled eggs, toast, juice and coffee certainly enough to start your day. The beds were super comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Truro. A place not to be missed is a walk through Victoria Park.
We only spent one night on our tour of Northeast Nova Scotia. Check in was smooth and easy. The attached restaurant, One 50 on Willow, had a limited menu but the service and food were excellent. Try the butter chicken! Our room was spacious and comfortable and clean. What you would expect from a Best Western.
The breakfast was excellent and the serving area above par but the hotel does need some TLC. Eating area for breakfast was lovely so is entrance. The beds are comfortable and the room is acceptable however hall carpets are worn and dirty, doors and moulding have chipped paint. Time to spruce it up!
The facility is superficially humble, but the rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location is adjacent to commercial area, which is not picturesque but is very practical, and parking is available. This is an excellent option for the traveler driving through and around Truro.
Wonderful breakfasts! Exceptionally clean and comfortable room and common spaces. And, our hosts Anne and D'Arcy were friendly, helpful and gracious. Belgravia was our favorite accomodation in Nova Scotia. A great central location for day trips.
Absolutely would love to return!
Breakfast was delicious: yoghurt, fruit, and eggs benedict. We used china and silver. The house is beautifully decorated. The house is very well kept up as well as the yard. Darcy, the homeowner and "staff" was very pleasant and full of information about Truro.
Hotel was nice and clean, easy to go around and find amenities. Location is great, easy to go on the highway and to the town. Receptionists were always there and ready to help. Rooms are big enough and it feels comfortable
Daniel at the front desk. Daniel was so friendly and always smiling and a laughter you can’t forget and that’s a great thing. If he wasn’t there we would rate the hotel a two. Daniel is a great access to the hotel.
everything was great but.... you need to offer flatter pillows.. i find now all the hotels have really thick pillows and so many have neck pain afterward, i do too and i need a flat pillow.
I felt so good in this hotel, I experienced a Canadian family’s daily life. I met with so many good people when we had breakfast together! I definitely like these!
the motel has the Charme of the good old times. the hotel is old and needs some remodeling. but we liked that it was very clean. for the money it was ok.
