The location is a good homebase to visit the Ribeira Sacra. It is directly in front of the Xunquera de Espadanedo Monastery. The decor was very nicely done. There were several sitting areas (indoor and out) that were really nice. The owner, Hugh, was very friendly and helpful.

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was particularly comfortable and quiet. Although the bathroom facilities were communal - we were the only people staying - so ostensibly private for us. Again, the bathroom was large and had a great shower. Meals were fantastic. Not your normal 'pilgrim fare'...from memory one of the best meals we had while we were walking the Camino Sanabres.
A good nights stay at a very reasonable price!

Great location in a beautiful city. Close to a shopping mall, post office, beautiful old restaurant quarter. Laundromat, Barber, ATM, and great coffee - all in walking distance.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Double glazed windows and shutters very effectively reduce outside noise.
Parking easy to access and very close.
Set within the Ribiera Sacra region and by the Miño and Sil Rivers, this converted monastery features a fabulous spa and beautiful central courtyard.

What a history rich and ambiance rich Parador…the superior room was spacious and comfortable…we weren’t in good enough shape to hike the loop trails to the river but we hiked two trails right outside the Parador door that offered fantastic views, wild flowers and historic remnants (e.g. an old mill, an intact chestnut roasting hut, a 6th century fortress)….the restaurant and cafeteria service and quality of the food were solid (the cafeteria provided the salad rich in greens that we had been craving)…the walk behind the parador was history rich and the perfect stroll after a hearty meal…We also enjoyed our day of checking out the area monasteries, churches and towns…No shortage of things to do!!
