The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

Touristy but very good promenade for walking.
Touristy but very good promenade for walking. Quiet at night. Beach near Parque Santiago III not suitable for swimming, good for surfing. Not normally my choice of destination but enjoyed the hotel pool, garden, room and location.

I have been visiting the Island for over 30 years and I have never had a bad visit.
Siam Park is a must!!!!
Best bar is the Brahms and Liszt on the Parque de la paz strip fabulous place with the best staff on the island
Best restaurants are Little Italy Pompeii, Vegas grill and Pier 8.
The only issue now with Tenerife is the taxis from the airport as the queues now are ridiculous.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February!
Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces;
The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike!
As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

We always stay at cleopatra Palace or sir anthony because they are in the nicest bit of las americas right beside the musical fountains with excellent restaurants and shops. We eat in Bianco, taipan, empire and Thai . I book online with venture (download app) before we travel as they are very popular and excellent quality. Our favourite bar is Magic , in front of cleopatra and next to hard Rock Cafe.the beach in front of hotel is beautiful soft sand. Harry's bar is usually mobbed and too expensive but it is a prime spot overlooking fountain. We book bed &Breakfast at hotel because restaurants outside are unmissable.

This resort has changed enormously since a short visit 30 years ago and I must say it probably has ‘something for everyone’ as the cafes, restaurants and shops seem to cater for all requirements. From up market clothing stores in gorgeous complexes not out of place in Dubai, Paris or London to neighbourhood ‘touristy’ neighbourhood style mini markets, they’re all here. More restaurants than you can shake a stick at, our favourite pastime was strolling the incredibly long seaside walk and stopping for a while in the sun for a coffee, beer and pastry.

We had really wonderful stay.
- Apartment was very big and clean with well equipped kitchen and big balcony
- It was really quited durig evenings and we appreciated that
- The biggest advantage of the hotel is staff- wonderful and nice people, especially in the restaurant
- There’s a possibility to buy all inclusive option for one or two days. We used that when we were not travelling
- Two clean pools. In May during a week no problems with sub beds, during weekend a bit crowded
We had a great stay at Tenerife South Apartments. Clean rooms, spacious. Host was very communicative. Great location, short walk to the beaches, shops, lots of bars and restaurants. Large pool area with food and drink options, an on site supermarket. Fairly quiet area however close enough to nightlife for it to be accessible.
We left a personal item in the room after checking out and the host very kindly arranged for it to be returned - Thank you!
Would definitely recommend!
Maxi and scenographic hotel where find a very good service (extra ones, like room service not too expensive either). Very funny pools and very good buffet (both at breakfast and at dinner). The hotel is directly on the beach. In the beach (which I remember not being owned by the hotel but it is a free beach) you can find free umbrellas and deck chairs. The position is good. The balcony is very usefull.
Despite the negatives mentioned below a good hotel mainly for services
Stayed in Apartments Vista Sur over the Christmas holidays. This is an excellent apartment complex, the rooms are spacious, modern, and well equipped. The view from the balcony is superb. The location on the beach front is excellent and at night very quiet, which we really appreciated. But most of all the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Many thanks to Ani and the rest of the team for making our trip so fantastic.
The apartment was perfect. There is a coffee machine and all the utensils you need. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The balcony is brilliant and the view is amazing. The location is very central to all you need in Playa de las Americas. Micheal welcomed us on arrival and he was extremely helpful. This was the best stay we had in Tenerife.
Super clean, organized and the pool area is massive and they have parties and events constantly. HUGE balconies with pool and beach views, comfortable rooms with AC on a hot summer day, and an adjacent bakery made our mornings so much fun! Amazing location right by the beach and boardwalk. Will definitely come again when visiting Tenerife in the future
The location couldn't be better – just a short walk away from beautiful beaches and vibrant party zones.
The apartment had everything we needed and more, making our stay truly comfortable.
The host was super helpful and made sure we had a fantastic experience.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a blast in Tenerife!
Host was friendly and kind, he allowed us to check-in few hours before the deadline.
The location is excellent, 50m from the beach, from where you can see the best sunset from Las Americas.
The room had all the prerequisites needed for an enjoyable stay. I would definitely come back for a next stay in Tenerife.
The hotel was clean and the location was excellent. Right on the beach! When we were leaving we checked out but our flight wasn't until that evening. We were able to still use the pool facilities and there were showers in the pool bathroom area for us to freshen up and change before our flight!
On appearance the property was modern and clean with everything you could want. It was convenient for beach access and restaurants and the view was lovely. It suited us fine as we were never in the hotel. Drinks were pricey if not all inclusive and planning on spending time in the hotel.
Great value hotel with big pools and plenty of sun beds.
Room was clean, comfy and modern.
Walking distance to the main areas with shops, bars and restaurants. We booked all inclusive as pretty cheap but ate out most evenings. Wine and beer in the deal was nice.
Close to the beach and restaurants, free access to the pool and private parking, which in Tenerife is a big plus. The kitchen was fully equipped and the rooms had plenty of storage space.
The rooms and the hotel was spotless clean right on the beach as well plus when your going to sleep you can't hear anything but the sea highly recommend Las Palmeras
Very clean, spacious, nice decor, pool areas are nice, good location - taxi ride about 5-10 mins away from playa de las Américas, the all inclusive drinks!
