This was a basic bunk bed hostel. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly. We spent the day on the Camino 25kms in the rain and the free dryer was a huge plus! The showers were hot and had a lot of pressure…those are the things you remember and appreciate after a long day. Situated in a great area with restaurants and cafes, however we were there on Holy Thursday so the choices were a bit limited.overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed her after our first day in elementary school Camino! It was a long day and it was amazing arriving at the place! The place was comfortable and clear and on top of that there was essentials to help recover from el Camino: a small massage gun and cooling gel!!!

This town was such a nice surprise.
This town was such a nice surprise. I decided to divide my camino stage and Porriño was great to visit. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. It's a beautiful town architecturally, so I enjoyed walking around the town. It's also not a touristy town or a place overrun with other Caminho pilgrims (like me), so I was able to experience the town without a lot of outside influence. On a personal choice note, I actually enjoyed Porriño more than Valença and Tui. I spent a night in each of those locations on my Camino. The other two towns were much more focused on the tourist/pilgrim guests. While I enjoyed Valença because of its history and architecture, the town was more touristy than I would have liked. Porriño has all the charm of a small town, without the interference of outside . A final note about Porriño. The people that you interact with, restaurant, hotel staff or just people you meet on the street were always pleasant to interact with. They were always patient with my limited language skills and made me feel welcome in their town. Visit Porriño!Camino 2023 Rick FLUnited States of America

The hosts thoughtfully included in the apartment everything imaginable to make their guests stay comfortable. They even left supplies in the kitchen for a light breakfast. If you’re staying only one day or a more lengthy stay in O Porrino I highly recommend staying at the NOTRENiD apartment at Avenida Galicia, 46 - 6 B.
