Well appointed and everything you would expect for 1 star.
Actually exceeds exceeds expectation.
Evening staff really friendly and helpful
Evening meal was lovely with a selection of local olive oils to taste
A historic site of a battle centuries ago. The deep gorge is highly defensible and a dramatic faulted landscape split in two by the gorge full of wild life. Take the old road down through the gorge as the autovia now ignores it as it skims above along its dramatic viaduct and tunnels. Leaving the valley a lovely place to stroll and picnic.
Santa Elena on the hilltop was once bustling with merchant traffic and roadside inns. Now a sleepy backwater but great starting out point for mountain and gorge rambles. Great meals in the hotel and a nearby bar/restaurant. Great stopover southwards after boring Castillian meseta. Or heading north, a perfect place to pause for a night and one last glimpse at Andalucia.
The hotel is a typical Spanish property very traditional. The room was basic but clean with air-condioning, TV, a good supply of hot water and nice touches such as gift packs for our 2 dogs and nice bathroom packs for us. The double bed was as advertised, with fresh white linen. For the price we paid we felt that we had very good value. The Restaurant has an excellent menu using local produce not too expensive. Would highly recommend. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning. We will stay again if passing.
Set on the edge of a small Town is this very traditional spainish hotel. It is a time warp and very tired but the rooms are basic but clean and nice and warm and the bed was very comfortable, fine for a short stay.
But what makes this a jewel in the Crown is the restaurant and its brilliant food, wow what an unexpected find. I will be back.
Breakfast was basic with only a choice of hot drink, OJ, muffin and toast with serrano ham and or tomato but fine for us.
Plenty of Local parking around hotel.
This was a good stopover hotel for us. Big rooms so plenty of room for us and the dogs, two big Labradors! . Room was a bit old fashioned but spotlessly clean . Breakfast was very simple but OK for us as not big breakfast people so a coffee and tostada was enough to get us on our way. Good value for money hotel very close to the motorway so perfect location was a stopover on our way home. Best of all the staff were great and very helpful.
Really good value for money. We had a really good sized bedroom with a large bathroom both with nice views. Clean and warm, a simple breakfast that met our needs, conveniently situated off the A-4. Restaurant serving locally sourced food.
There was a lovely forest walk for our dog, which started opposite the hotel. Brilliant hotel for a stopover.

I have stayed in the hotel overnight for the 2nd time and definitely recommend it to everyone, especially to transit travelers like myself: very good value-for-money, easy parking, easy access from the autoroute, spacious rooms, a perfect respect of all sanitary requirements in the COVID-19 context.
We were expecting very little by being in the middle of no where. What a surprise! A very large clean bedroom and bathroom. A wonderful dinner and breakfast. Covered parking in front of the hotel. Staff very friendly. Elevator to our room. An area to walk our dog.
Location by the motorway, but rooms in the backside quiet. Nice views also. Free parking in front of hotel. Our motobikes were there for 2 days without problems. Very nice scenic route just in the corner, I think it was road JA7100. Also restaurant on site
Pet friendly hotel with really helpful staff. Fabulous restaurant with a modern interior design and creative menu. Delicous food followed by a great sleep in super comfy beds. We Definitely will return.
Location, staff, breakfast, grand hotel interior. 63 euros Inc breakfast is exceptional value. 7 euros extra for our dog. Try getting a room in a hotel for that in UK or Ireland.
