We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
A perfect stop on the Camino just a few kilometres beyond Sarria for those who want a head start on the masses the following morning. The staff were lovely, the dinner was excellent and the pool was exactly what a tired pilgrim needed at the end of a long day walking. Our room had a toilet and two showers between only 8 people and it was lovely having these as en suite. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
The hotel was very welcoming and bright in the lobby. Eloy was a kind host and helped us immediately with our room. It was our first night in Spain and we found the location convenient to dinner, shopping, and starting the Camino. We appreciated Eloy's dinner recommendation: Meson de Robert - excellent food! The rooms were very clean, plenty of room for writing a note or relaxing.
Great stop in the Camino to divide the stage between Sarria and Portomarin. It was like staying in a family home. Marisa owns and runs the place like clockwork with many other women relatives, they are kind, friendly and their cooking is home-made yummy! They also serve breakfast staring at 7:30 am, which is a good start to arrive at Portomarin beating the Sarria rush!
The host at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. He made me feel very very welcome. The hotel restaurant served good food with good prices. The servers there were very nice and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and be very happy to stay here again next year.
Arrived in sarria from train. Owner couldnt have been more friendly and helpful 🙂. Loverly room, very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, which the owner very kindly gave us for free, as it was our 33 wedding anniversary. Thanks. Had a great nights sleep. Highly recommended.
The La Cason de Sarria was our favorite accommodation on the Camino de Santiago. The refurbished old buildings were lovely. Wish we could have been there when the flowers arrived. Marcella, the owner, was very personable and helpful.
Hotel Serano is in top condition. It's right when you enter Sarria, so if you expect to have sore feet, you don't have to go that far. Opposite the hotel is a super good local restaurant with a menu of the day and really good tapas.
The property was perfect and met all my needs. There was complimentary shower gel and shampoo. It was just off the Main Street, far enough to be away from the madness and noise of Sarria, but near enough to walk.
The owner was super helpful in planning our stay. Sarria was the beginning of our Camino and she helped us navigate our journey. She used a translator app which was helpful. Great location to begin camino.
I consider this a 5 star hotel. It was clean and very comfortable. There is a fantastic restaurant and a cafe also. The staff is the best and very accommodating.
Albergue is in a central location right on the Camino in the older part of Sarria. It was very quiet as there weren’t too many beds and the host was lovely.
