Very happy with the restaurant connected to the hotel. Although I arrived late in the afternoon on Saturday, I was able to have the weekend menu as the last diner before they closed the kitchen. Room was quiet and comfortable

It is a fascinating historical town, the old town rather crumbling at the moment. Centuries of history at every turn. Many bars with good ranges of tapas, but hard to find a functioning restaurant at the moment. The cafe/restaurant next to the Hotel Juan II does excellent lunches.JustinUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

good for wine tasting. A rural non- touristiy working town - mainly spanish residents with not much english spoken (youngsters do speak english) Nice locqal bars, restaurants etc. Walk around easily. Tourists around from other countries including US - several cyclists and walkers.

He actually gave us a bottle of wine from his family's vineyard to take away. Toro is famous for its wine.!! The staff were friendly and helpful . The hotel was right in the centre of playa Mayor which is a beautiful spot. The room was spotless and everything about it was comfortable and quiet. If you really want to experience the real history and feel of Spain this is the place for you. The people at the hotel look after you very well and the orange juice at breakfast is the best which accompanies the lovely breakfast. Parking outside, we arrived on a motorcycle and they allowed us to park in the cobbled courtyard right outside the reception.
