We thought Eastbourne town was awful and were very sorry we went at all. Even during the day, you could smell drugs in the air and there was fighting in the streets, people racing cars and motorbikes, nearly knocking pedestrians down and even with the constant police presence, we did not feel safe. Never going near the place again!

We planned to visit the Towner Gallery, but it was closed to prepare for the next exhibition. Enjoyed a show at the Devonshire theatre. Walks along the prom are nice, and views from the pier great. Eastbourne is a traditional seaside town that sees to be hanging in there better than most, although there are pockets of deprivation. Great for a few days break.

Outstanding hotel. Perfect location, beautiful building with very attractive interior decoration. Comfortable bed and the room was very clean. Bathroom and shower were excellent. Good water pressure and lots of space. I had one of the cheapest and smallest rooms yet it was extremely comfortable and spacious. The building has great character and has been modernized with a lot of taste. I unreservedly recommend this hotel. In fact my room was better than the one I had when I stayed in the Grand Hotel a few years ago.
What an absolutely lovely historic hotel, a hidden gem. The location, staff, and breakfast are all fabulous. The bed was comfy, the room (bigger than I expected!) was cosy and clean with tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water on offer, the bath and shower were both good pressure and temp, and the staff were so incredibly attentive, welcoming, and happy to answer my (many) questions. It's quiet, rustic, homely, and very good value for money. I would definitely return here and stay for even longer next time.
Stayed 3 nights in a double deluxe with sea views.Room was clean throughout Location was good ,easy access to the seafront and shops Near to the train station. Brighton 30 mins away.accommodation was dated but adequate for what we wanted and price reasonable.parking was good but need to request a permit from reception on arrival for 2 pound a day. Not a lot of free parking near the hotel unless you are willing to walk for 5- 10 mins.
Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
This was my second stay here. it is a very well modernised hotel in an excellent location. This time I had a seaview room and was pleasantly surprised by how good the noise insulation is (seaview rooms in Eastbourne overlook the seafront road). There was a good choice at breakfast and it was well served.
I had read a few reviews before visiting the Burlington so it was just about what I expected. A beautiful old fashioned hotel on a British seafront. It's clean and friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere fairly welcoming. A little run down but that doesn't get in the way. Eastbourne is lovely.
The location is just at the seafront, however it's extremely difficult to get a parking space, and if you find one it's paid.
There is a pub straight underneath the hotel, very good beer and professional staff.
The room was small but had everything what is needed for the stay.
I liked it.
Clean well appointed apartment hotel with friendly helpful staff 5 minutes walk from the seafront in a quiet neighbourhood. Station and town centre is 10 minutes walk away and there are restaurants and cafes nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and would happily return. Recommended
I found the hotel easy to find, it's right on the sea front and I had a sea view.
The room was very comfortable with private bathroom and double bed and a television, staff were helpful and friendly.
The only thing I found a problem was I only had one night there.
The room was lovely and clean, the only problem was the water supply to the shower and hand basin was very poor. The Hotel is located close to the Seafront and was very convenient for our Day at Devonshire Park LTA Tennis Tournament in Eastbourne. Thank you
Great location, right near the seafront. Parking permits at £2 per day allowed car to be parked in the vicinity. Good value for the area. Friendly reception staff. Keycard worked well unlike others I have experienced. Eastbourne was both lively and relaxed.
The hotel is in the perfect location, right across from the scenic boardwalk and pier in Eastbourne. Around the corner is the pedestrian walking zone, chock full of restaurants and shops. Even the train station is only about a 7-10 minute walk away.
If visiting Eastbourne I am very happy to book Shore View Hotel Nice and clean and staff helpful. Breakfast staff are very nice and friendly. Street parking is only 2 Ukp per day for parking ticket at Reception.
The breakfast was buffet style, and a good selection of hot and cold freshly prepared food.
The hotel is in a good location on the seafront, and close to the pier, and an easy walk to the town centre.
Very good location for Eastbourne town centre, the seafront and Devonshire Park. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Decent breakfast. Clean and relatively inexpensive single room.
I was disappointed only with the view the staff and hotel were very pleasant and I enjoyed my stay
The staff where lovely and made the stay even more enjoyable
Beautiffully furbished hotel, friendly staff, perfect location for the Seafront, Theatres and Town Centre. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one evening.
