I grew up here. It is a little dusty but there are some awesome people who live here. Taco Villa is the best fast food Mexican restaurant. The Jackalope is the town Mascot. He shows up in different places around town. Never been to Stonehenge? If not, Odessa has it! UTPB college off University and John BEn Shepard Parkway, has the replica. The Globe Theater was built like Shakespearean model. Even the building on site are of the era. There is a mall and ample shopping around town! Also Odessa is home to the Odessa Permian Panthers! I wasn't happy camper I didn't get a wake up call 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. I had a conference to attend. I asked for a non smoking room and they changed it. The room smelled of smoke. It's my goal to visit each city that bears my name. I'm glad I didn't allow people to dissuade from going there. I could actually see myself living there. I saw lots of rats in my room and hall ways. I could imagine what the kitchen would look like and what is prepared from there with such invasion. Health is paramount and must be taken serious in this business. I don't expect people to pay for ylsuch place only to be sick later.
