Really a hidden gem within walking distance from a very nice beach and 20min by metro from centre of Bilbao The property is immaculate and the hosts Luis and Silvia were absolutely a bless. Luis gave us lots of detailed information about Sopelana and Bilbao: what is worth visiting , where to eat , How to get there, etc They even brought a box of local sweets for the children in the last evening. Beautiful house, I had a really nice room in the attic. The owner was really nice and welcoming, making sure I had all I could need. The countryside surrounding is breathtaking, all green and rolling hills. Unfortunately I did not have much time to enjoy that aspect this time as I had an early flight next day. The connection to the airport is fantastic, 10+ minutes by car, so it is an excellent alternative to a hotel airport.
