This was a perfect little small hotel, very rustic, with a great kitchen. We had a lovely dinner and drinks the evening we got in. We were travelling by bicycle, and the owner had special locked parking for our bikes. Breakfast was also excellent.

This property follows the style of the houses typical of the region; narrow and high. It is an actual house the owners used to live in so it has all the creature comforts a real resident would have, right down to the claw tooth bath tub. It’s not for those who are intimidated by stairs. There’s 40 of them! They do split the living up nicely though. Each level has its own bedroom and bathroom. The roof terrace provides spectacular views of the mountains and has ample space to do laundry with the washing machine provided.
The owners included the essentials like soap, dish cloths, towels, oil and salt, shower gel, garbage bags.👌Because the village only has 260 inhabitants, that’s a big bonus in case you don’t arrive at a time convenient for heading to the shops.

Lovely scenic location this small town has sufficient facilities to make our visit pleasant even in winter - though you may have to look a little harder than normal in order to find the bar which is open.
No doubt in summer (rather than Feb) that task will be easier.
Nice location to explore from - local Spa town / reservoir & local scenery.
Nice walks from town & riverside leisure area
Nice food/bar available at our accommodation La Piedra del Mediodía/Sorni restaurant -unable to try other bars as closed at present.
Good well stocked local shops with sufficient supplies should you choose to self cater.
