We arrived early, but the property manager came to meet us and let us in. The apartment was very spacious and clean, with a nice little kitchen and living room. It was on a small street just a hundred meters or so from a big intersection that seems to be the center of town. The cathedral and a museum were in short walking distance, with plenty of restaurants nearby.

While we stayed in Furelos, we were a short walk to Melide. We loved the food especially the octopus at Garnacha. Additionally, we enjoyed visiting St. Anthony Chapel. There are many stores should you need to pickup supplies on your Camino route.

Totally recommend hotel Lux Melide to pilgrims and tourists staying in Melide. This is a new hotel which is easy to find and near to the famous Pulperia. Plus point for the convenience of the laundry room and waiting room for the laundry.

I guess it was past high season. The personal were were nice and helpful. Even if the hotel was old and might need a facelift, we slept well for a relatively low penning.

A perfect place if you don't Want to go all the way to Arzua.

My room had a little balcony that gave me a nice peek at the wine zone action in Melide, with dozens of bars to eat tapas and drink awesome wine within footsteps of the pension. The hotel was also very close to the Camino way.
