It's an attractive town, with good restaurants and shopping and lovely architecture and historic landmarks. The park is lovely too, and we visited museo casa de cervantes which was quite a highlight and beautifully presented. Quite an underrated town I would say.
We ate at a couple of good restaurants la tasquita which is a good tapas bar and also Los zagales where we had a fixed price menu which was excellent.

Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor.
Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor. Cathedral is less impressive. During my visit in September a festival was going on and the city was alive with music and food stalls every where. A lot of bike lanes and bikes for hire make you go around the city very easy.

Lovely, compact city to stroll around.
Lovely, compact city to stroll around. Plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants. Some fabulous architecture. Places worth visiting are National Sculpture Museum, Cathedral and Parque Campo Grande (beautiful, tranquil Park in the centre of the city). Unfortunately, the Casa de Cervantes was closed the weekend I was there, so can't comment on it.
I had no need for public transport except when I went to the football stadium (which is 2/3km beyond the river).
Overall, a very friendly, pleasant and safe city. Would definitely return.

We picked Valladolid a convenient place to rest, for a couple of days, on a long journey but it is a fascinating small city with a rich history and lots to see on foot, a huge range of places to drink and eat and watch the world go by.

We were greeted and felt very welcomed by Hotel Manager Roberto. You could tell he was very proud of the hotel and city. He gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. It was a shame we were only there one night - however, we would definately return.
We had driven across Spain and where actually booked into The Gran Posada la Mesnade at Olmedio , which on arrival was a complete disaster, being empty , dark and freezing cold , so we were left in a bit of a jam as we were extremely tired and had dogs with us . Luckily I found the ibis on Booking . Com and we stayed there for the night . The staff were extremely helpful , and provided a ground floor room which was easy with the dogs . An evening meal and very comfortable bedroom . Good breakfast and excellent coffee !
Excellent location, 5 mins walk from train station and close to all sights, areas to eat in, opposite gardens to walk in and along a nice boulevard with bars and restaurants. Staff were welcoming, warm and helpful. Comfortable room, and very clean. Modern and good rain shower. We did not try the restaurant but staff were very helpful when we requested a couple of items. On an aside Valladolid is a much underrated Spanish city to visit, it has a lot to offer!
We were very pleased with the location - a very short walk from the railway station and within easy reach of all of the sites in Valladolid. The stylish lobby offered water, tea and coffee and drinks could be made in the room also. Delightful touches. There was a huge fiesta taking place during our stay but the rooms were very quiet and we were not disturbed.
We went for a junior suite and were very impressed. We used the car park just down the road (other side of the Junta) which is very close and free. Valladolid very much exceeded expectations - it is elegant and classy with some impressive architecture that is good to compare with other Spanish cities that have more of a reputation as go-to destinations.
Fantastic suite in a brilliant location. Very spacious, clean, comfortable and well furnished and equipped.
Excellent value for money.
We have had five stays in Valladolid in the last few years and have been disappointed by the standard of the hotels we have used but not any longer. This will be our regular hotel whenever we visit this lovely city.
Beautiful apartment which makes you feel welcome and at home, so many nice touches and has all the facilities you could need. Bed is comfortable and the view is lovely. The location is also superb with lots of nightlife however the apartment itself is quiet. I will absolutely stay here again next time I return to Valladolid!
Wonderful hotel in Valladolid, quality furnishings, spacious room and bathroom, nice amenities, friendly staff. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and it provided a nice dinner at a reasonable price , we were happy not to have to go out , in the very hot weather , you may need to book as the restaurant is small.
Location. Location. Location. It's basically on Plaza Mayor. It's close to everything, shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket. The apartment has everything you need, even a dishwasher. Valladolid is a great city, people don't give it enough credit. You can take the train to Medina del Campo for just €3.
the apartment is great, it has literally everything, I loved it; also the kindness of the owner was special, and she speaks English which is not so often in Spain 😊 the apartment is 5 min from bus station and 2 min from the railway station, very convenient! I really recommend this place
The location was just perfect! As soon as you step out, you're right in the centre (Plaza Mayor) of Valladolid. I really like the size of the rooms and the curtains really block out the sunlight so you could sleep in and not know it's morning! Perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The room was very accessible, clean and very quiet for a good night sleep. Even when there was Press coverage of a Soccer team lodged at the hotel, we didn’t notice it, until we walked out to the lobby. Breakfast was great and the lady attendant there was Superb!
Nice room, very clean, with a mini fridge and coffee maker. Free parking around the hotel. Close to highway, easy to find. Supermarket and restaurant within walking distance. Quiet residential neighborhood.
The hotel is amazing: the rooms are great and clean, beds were big and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and there was a lot of space in the restaurant. The staff was helpful.
The apartment stays in a great place at Valladolid, everthing was accessible on foot. The apartment is clean and agreeable, and the manager always answered me fast and politely.
Excellent location. Arrived late evening so had limited time but Roberto was excellent at advising of the highlights Valladolid has to offer. Would stay again
The staff is super friendly and very supportive. The room is clean. Its location is near the center of Valladolid. In summary it has good value for money.
