You can catch trains to Santander and Cabezon de la Sal from Mar Train Station, 750 metres from the guesthouse. The famous Altamira Cave is 15 km away and the Dunas de Liencres Nature Reserve is a 20-minute drive. Santander and its airport are 20 km away.

Very good hotel. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. There are about 7 parking spots outside walls. Enough in Nov but could be a problem in summer. Hotel is in a small village with limited parking. Our new rating item is "Can you get to back of TV to insert Firestick?" The answer is Yes. Australian subscribed Apple, Prime and Netflix work in Europe and UK. Despite possible issue with parking I would recommend staying here. It is as good as it looks.

Absolutely superb accommodation, stunning house and beautiful decorated bedrooms. The bedroom was comfortable, extremely clean, and we really can't fault anything! The staff was friendly and the homemade breakfast in the morning was delicious. The Posada also has beautiful grounds and the view from the bedroom was beautiful - trees and mountains all around!
