Everything was great! The room is clean, you get fresh towels, and shower gel and shampoo. The receptionist was super friendly and gave us recommendations for dining out. The breakfast is way better than it looks on the photos! Highly recommend this place for a stay along the Camino.

David, Kury und Ana have just opened this hostel, a little outside of Ponferrada. The paint is hardly dry on this well-thought out and cleverly appointed hostel. Our room was clean and spacious with a desk and a double bed. The street can be a little loud but the windows close properly and there are external shutters against noise and light. Our spotlessly clean bathroom had a shower and good lighting. The reception was friendly and accommodating. At the moment, there are no restaurant or cafe facilities on site, but there are many little restaurants in walking distance and we had a great breakfast a block away.

The hostal was in a great location on the Camino. Jose and his wife are perfect hosts. As Jose says, ‘you arrive as a guest but leave as family.’ The room was spacious and clean. It is close to restaurants and shopping. Jose speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish and will give you recommendations. This is our second stay here and we’ll be back again if we return to the Camino.
