it was super easy to find. We arrived earlier than normal check in and the hosts accommodated us and arrived within minutes to let us in. They even got the bicycles ready for us to use.

Barreiros, a town famous for its beautiful beaches, invites the traveller to discover beautiful and extensive stretches of sand. Less than 2 kilometres from A Lume Manso, we find the beach of Altar. Other nearby beaches are Coto, Benquerencia, O Castro, Fontela-Balea, Lóngara or Arealonga. We are also less than 10 minutes away from one of the most famous beaches in the world: The Beach of the Cathedrals or Augas Santas, which you cannot miss.
A Lume Manso, as its name suggests, is a project of continuity, which began as a dream and we want it to become a reality. It is my husband's family home and we wanted to keep it at all costs, especially because of our feelings and memories of it, and the only way out we saw was to mix my dream of having a rural house business with being able to restore his old house, and with great sacrifice and hard work we are managing to see a little of the project we had in mind. It is not easy, because we chose a time of crisis to start, we were not able to get official aid and we embarked on a project that overtook us and thank God after a few years we began to stabilize. We believe that our establishment stands out for its cosiness, quietness, good breakfast and cleanliness. But well, all this will have to be appreciated by our guests.
Barreiros is located on the northern coast of Galicia, in the region of Mariña Oriental in the province of Lugo. The territory it covers -72 km²- has two well differentiated units: in the north, a plain parallel to the coastline located between the mouth of the river Masma and the beach of Las Catedrales, which offers eight kilometres of beautiful beaches. Inland, the relief rises as we approach the foothills of the mountain ranges that close in from the north.
