We (2 adults and 2 boys, 12+16) were here in the Summer.
We (2 adults and 2 boys, 12+16) were here in the Summer. We went here for the beaches towards the end of a multi-city sightseeing trip to give the kids a break and relax for 4 days. There are indeed many great beaches in the area and the public ones directly adjacent to the city are good as well. This is a very touristy city, so not our cup of tea actually. There are tons of shops to buy knick-knacks and a plethora of restaurants and ice cream shops. Culturally, there is not much to see or do.

If you sit at a cafe next to the Balcon de Europa almost everyone will walk past and it's great for 'people watching'. Often concerts and special events happen here as the Spanish people find so many reasons to celebrate.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we were given a map on which they showed us the main points of interest. They provide you with towels for the beach and the pool if needed. The breakfast could have included warm options like scrambled eggs or bacon but otherwise it was good. The fruit bowls were amazing. The room was spotlessly clean and seemed newly furnished. Excellent location, right by the Balcony of Europe.
