Everything in our stay was perfect. The location of Kandalama lodge is great if you want to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigirya and Pidurangala. The lodge is cleverly designed, and well maintained. The garden is a quiet oasis, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in both the deluxe villa with the private pool and the “regular” rooms. We enjoyed both. The staff made our stay even better. I’ve never seen a manager, cook and helpers so attentive in my life. I rarely rate a stay a 10/10 but they deserve it.

A car rental service is available at the lodge. it was in the middle of nowhere- so good to chill out! the staff was super helpful, nice pool to hang out, nice views! food was also very good! Aruna was very helpful and attentive!

An Asian breakfast is available daily at the lodge. The spiritual nature farm is a very warm and familiar place. (This is not a classic accommodation and is therefore exactly the right place for people looking for authenticity) I gained great experiences here and learned a lot about life and nature in Sri Lanka. there is a lot to improve. This is what the spiritual nature farm is committed to. Anyone who wants to can become a part of it. The equipment and comfort were completely sufficient for my needs. Close to the world heritage site - Sigiriya Rock Fortress and pidurangala historical religious site. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, and attentive; constantly attempting to ensure guest satisfaction. Food is on a set menu and is absolutely mouthwatering! This little hiding gem truly deserves everyone's attention for all its fabulous services. It is just couple of steps away for bird watching area and the beautiful lake. Free of charge night safari were fantastic and great experience.

Incredibly kind family owners-I arrived super early having cycled there, they served me a delicious breakfast and got my room ready ASAP. Location is fab-you can enter Sigiriya rock via a back entrance (but it might be worth getting your entry ticket on your way to hotel as its a bit of a walk to the ticket office (inside the museum) once you are at the hotel. Easy walk into town/ restaurants. Room is basic but super clean,mini fridge, kettle provided and outdoor seating. All set in lovely garden.

The lodge offers a children's playground. Such warmth and hospitable service throughout our one night at Melrose Villa. The room was recently decorated and in excellent condition. staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort service and location were excellent! Would definitely recommend.
