This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in (and that’s not a short list). We were only here one night, but I struggled to leave. The drive up the mountain to this remote lodge was well worth it and even added to the charm of feeling tucked away into the trees. The staff were exceptional - down to earth while offering top notch service. We walked into the room and immediately fell in love. The view is truly otherworldly and the room has the tasteful decor to match. The bed was like a cloud - we even snuck a peek at the brands to see if we might replicate at home. The restaurant/bar inside the hotel is great: offering the cozy specialities you want in Austria like Wiener schnitzel and aperol spritz. We also really enjoyed the breakfast that was included the next morning. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone - whether you’re in the area or not (it’s worth the hike!) - and I can’t wait to be back for a longer stay.

The staff were so nice and friendly. They went above and beyond to meet our demands since we were traveling with our 7 month old baby. They put a microwave in our room so we would be able to heat food for our baby 24/7. We had the three course dinner one night and the food was unbelievably good. We were told breakfast would be served at 8 o’clock and once we got downstairs in the mornings the breakfast was already on the table waiting for us. The nature is breathtakingly beautiful and the view from the bedroom as well. We can’t wait to go back. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing place and highly recommended if you’re traveling with kids. They have everything you need and they are extremely hospitable.

The central location of the hotel was great, Lachtal is 25 minutes drive. Easy and free parking also available. The room was spacious and very clean, beds are comfy. Braekfest was amazing, they even have a waffel maker.
