Hotel Mar de Fisterra is set in Fisterra, at the end of Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and less than 50 metres from Langosteira beach. We liked everything about this property. We arrived early to a very welcoming Sara at the front desk. She spoke English well enough to not only understand us but made an effort to communicate answers to questions we had. She let us check in early and leave our bags in a side room so we could explore the area. Sara gave us directions to lunch suggestions, sights, groceries, laundry and beach while also cleaning and getting ready for new guests. Upon our return to check in to our room we were excited to open the door and see the unbelievable view of the beach, mountains, ocean, etc. The room was clean, comfortable and full of amenities. We had a wonderful walk on the beach and saw the many sights including the evening walk out to the lighthouse (Sara gave us suggestions, taxi # if we wanted to use it) Breakfast the next morning was included. Perfect selection of everything you would want to start the day with Sara’s friendly personality serving things up. Highly recommend this place because of the staff, location, comfort, cleanliness, amenities, and the VIEW! Breathtaking!!! We have stayed in many, many places on our Camino from Porto to Santiago. Hotel Mar de Fisterra is definitely #1. Thank you! We will tell others and hopefully return ourselves. 👍❤️👣

The room was about the cheapest in town, but was really very good, spacious, spotless and everything worked. The location is right opposite the beach which is useful if you are brave enough for a swim and is the first building walkers on the Camino dos Faros come to, which is nice. Mealtimes are more flexible than usual in Spain if you use the restaurant.

This is an amazing hotel, would love to go back there again. Very large, clean room, large balcony with great ocean views. Near 2 beaches to which 2 minutes walk. An excellent playground next to the hotel, a large swing overlooking the ocean is located next to the beach. The children were delighted. In the hotel you can wash and dry clothes for free, which was very convenient for our family. You won't have any problems with parking at this hotel.

My third stay at Alén do Mar, and I'll be back. Immaculate room. Excellent breakfast. Close access to the beach and the final pilgrim's approach to Finisterre/Fisterra (~3km away), but quiet and relaxed compared to the constant milling of tourists and pilgrims in Finisterre itself.

Very clean, rooms were well setup, a superb (top rated) restaurant onsite that catered well to vegetarians while serving some of the most impressive seafood in the world. 10 mins walk to the township. For a Pilgrim, it's a piece of paradise; for families, opportunity for quality time! It's a beautiful place, with a unique energy! The accommodations are decorated with wonderful details and lots of love; excellent amenities. We tasted different dishes; the food is delicious!! And the kindness of the owners is incredible. A few meters away, and forming part of this complex, there is a swimming pool. For those who prefer the sea, just walk around the Ria, populated by herons, seagulls and ducks, until you reach the beautiful beach of Lires. On clear nights, the possibility of observing an incredible sky... The Path of the Stars. It stayed in the heart. A true country poem, sprinkled with sea air. We will be back with the family!
