In a tranquil setting on the banks Loch Awe, Taychreggan Hotel offers elegant accommodation and high-quality dining. We went here for a very special occasion - our wedding anniversary - and were made to feel very special by the staff. If you're in the Loch Awe area I would recommend it for a luxurious but friendly stay. It's at one side of the old ferry route across Loch Awe from Portsonachan. The dining room looks across the loch through big arched windows and we spent more time gazing at the view than eating. As for eating there are two restaurants. For our special occasion we let our palates roam and enjoyed the Faodail Table d'Hote menu, but the Ghillies Bistro is also excellent, overlooked by an enormous range of whiskies. The room was spotless, and the whole experience was excellent.

Glenorchy Lodge-Rooms Only has a garden and terrace in Dalmally. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The hotel features double or twin rooms. The ones running the place are very kind. Good information that the restaurant was closed. We especially enjoyed the great breakfast and to finally have a good wifi after many nights without it. Best stay during 2 weeks in Scotland!

Offering views of the Scottish Highlands, The Nest Glamping Pod is set 3 km from Dalmally. It offers accommodation, barbecue facilities and a garden. The glamping pod features an en-suite bathroom. The location was very remote and beautiful. We really enjoyed being away from everyone and the city. The bed was super comfortable and warm. The bathroom was surprisingly big for the size of the cabin. No cons whatsoever. The real food cafe was a highlight of the night. 10/10 loved.

Located in Dalmally and only 26 km from Inveraray Castle, Craig Villa Guest House provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The Villa has an interesting vibe, like you are living in another time, which is spectacular for historical buldings lovers. The hosts are very welcoming and nice to talk to, we also loved their dog which was very friendly. The breakfast was amazing, especially the pancakes and I loved the idea that you can choose out of a list what you want to eat every morning. The location of the Villa is perfect, close to nature, lots of things to see în the surroundings. Also, we enjoyed very much playing board games in the living room, thank you for offering them to the guests.

Offering river views, Cladich House Bed & Breakfast is an accommodation located in Cladich, 16 km from Inveraray Castle and 41 km from Kilmartin House Museum. Dan was amazing. He even drew me a map of how to get to and from Glencoe through a shortcut. The rushing river outside of the property was beautiful to listen to at night. And we got to help the Neighbor wrangle some Cows. I highly recommend.

The Old School provide comfortable self-catering apartments in Dalavich, on the banks of Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands. We had a great stay. Host's lovely friendly people. Comfortable and relaxed Very safe for our two dogs

This enchanting Edwardian country house is home to 5 modern, self-catering apartments, with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. We stayed in the main building, which had wonderful, unique architecture-kind of a cross between a castle and a church. Our apartment was spacious, with well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and laundry room. Our host, Paul, was welcoming, helpful with reservations, and informative. Also, great view of the loch and the castle out our window. We used this location as a base for day trips to St Conan’s Kirk, Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, Inveraray, Oban, and Glencoe Valley.

Boasting a spa bath, The Posting House is situated in Kilchrenan. This holiday home features free private parking and private check-in and check-out. The Posting House is a beautifully set up property - clean, comfortable and well set up. Kate, the host, was very accommodating. You could stay for a week quite easily. Our car broke down and Kate even offered to pick us up and drop us off if we needed it. Kate allowed us to have a late checkout until our car was ready, which was so appreciated. She even followed up after to check we were ok.
