The property is conveniently located close to the train station and there are many places to eat nearby. The staff is great. We spent a very goofy night there and appreciate their assistance in resolving some issues with our luggage.

Incredibly clean and comfortable. Super rooftop deck. We loved the music playing and the comfortable, homey feel downstairs.
On Camino Way of Saint James.
Beautiful historical sites, lovely stone work, churches that ring their bells for the hour & mass,
beautiful community atmosphere, so wonderful to join millions of pilgrims who have walked for centuries from every place country nationality, speaking different languages. Buen Camino Thank you St James🤗

We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
A lovely welcome from Monica. It was the start of our long walk and we couldn't have had a better start. Monica was very knowledgeable and obviously had great experience of hosting pilgrims along the way. She made our short stay in Sarria very memorable by her recommendations. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace t the back enjoying the lovely view to the south. We had breakfast with her in the kitchen and it felt like we had made a friend in that very short time.
A perfect stop on the Camino just a few kilometres beyond Sarria for those who want a head start on the masses the following morning. The staff were lovely, the dinner was excellent and the pool was exactly what a tired pilgrim needed at the end of a long day walking. Our room had a toilet and two showers between only 8 people and it was lovely having these as en suite. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Best stay since Saint Jean. The host has completed the Camino 7 times and it shows. Everything a pilgrim would want/need after a long day walking. Clean, comfortable, and cozy in a beautiful building. Free wine/beer/soda/coffee
. A fire and comfy couches to sit on and a lovely garden (that we didn't use because it was raining). Would recommend to anyone in Sarria and would stay again in a heartbeat.
The host was very friendly and welcoming - even arranging for an early check in due to our early arrival in Sarria and orienting us to the town. We appreciated being able to do our laundry in a machine and dry it in the courtyard. We loved the cozy room and common area. One of our best Camino hosts and lodging!
I started my camino in Sarria and the place location is perfect. In front of the albergue is the shop where you can buy shell for the backpack and anything else. You can pick the bed. It was clean, temperature was nice. There is a terrace outside with few tables and a place to dry your cloths.
Very helpful friendly staff. Our room was clean, bright, spacious and heated for comfortable stay. Much needed laundry facility was available and appreciated after a long soggy walk. Great location to explore Sarria’s town centre (shops & restaurants) and points of interests.
This was such a great place. We were having a Camino rest day. Lovely room, lovely people running the hotel. If we could have stayed here every night from Sarria to Santiago we would have.
this is my go-to hotel in sarria whenever I am passing through sarria on a camino . the front desk person is friendly and very helpful .. great location in the old part of town .
Perfect place to stay in Sarria. Kitchen facilities and laundry available and really nice bathroom. Owner very contactable and friendly. Really good value for money.
I didn’t stay at Don Alvaro. They were overbooked for that night so they go me a room at the Hotel Novoa about a block away. Room was very nice and quiet.
Superior quality apartment with a central location. The host is very welcoming and provides any assistance one might need. A great place to stay in Sarria.
