I visited the town because I was walking the spiritual route of the camino Santiago. I visited all of the main sites in under two hours, so if I had not booked a boat departure for the next morning, I would have kept walking instead of staying the night.

It is a very Spanish town with local facilities and population. Many pilgrims passing through but not a crowded place at this time of year (Late September _ October ) Great place to get away from the crowd.

It's a nice place and people and in general very friendly, nice and helpful. Would particularly recomend the quaint historic centre, the beach and the harbour where you can see the mussels boats.

Super nice town.
Super nice town. A lot of great options to sleep including camping sites. Same goes for restaurants and you also have a lot of beach options. You can cross the bridge and visit the island and the beaches over there as well. We went there following the spiritual variant along the Camino Portuguese and it was more than great plus you get to ride in a boat to Padront he next day and visit the mussle farms.SSaniBulgaria

I stayed there with my mother during our Camino and it was perfectly suited. View of the sea from the room. there is no restaurant in the hotel but we were able to have a light meal in the lounge space with spectacular views. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.

We were doing the Camino De Santiago and I’d we’d been planning to take the boat to Padron it would have been a perfect location. We walked so it wasn’t from that perspective. We left to catch a boat before breakfast, but she gave us an each a bottle of water for our journey. There was a lovely view of the town as well.
